The WW2 RAF Group is a group of enthusiasts based in Worcestershire and the West Midlands with the collective aim of:<\/p>

Respectfully portraying the activities, equipment and uniforms of the Royal Air Force, and associated military and civil organisations, during World War Two. <\/span><\/p>

Where appropriate working in partnership with like-minded groups and organisations to impart greater awareness and appreciation of the efforts and sacrifices made during that period.

The first tasks in 2009 were the refurbishment of an old operations room set and the collecting of appropriate props and making objects such as a map table that we could easily pack\/transport.<\/p>

The resultant Operations Room display was first unveiled in February 2010 as part of Worcester Re-enactors Living History in Worcester (LHIW) weekend.<\/p>

Our main display is a reconstruction of an emergency operations room from the time of the Battle of Britain. We have adapted original first-hand accounts and condensed these into a 20-minute display to demonstrate to the public how the Royal Air force, with assistance from the Observer Corps, directed its limited fighter resources to meet incoming hostile threats during the Battle of Britain.<\/p>

The display is presented as a one act play with a script and supporting soundtrack. Some aspects have been changed from reality in order to provide the public with a better understanding and experience, but it is close enough to be featured by the museums at RAF Cosford and at the original fighter command headquarters Bentley Priory.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
